Uncommon Bet Types
←Back to Guide

1. **Teasers**

- Similar to parlays, but the bettor can adjust the point spread or total in their favor in exchange for a lower payout.

- Example: If you have a two-team teaser with a six-point adjustment, you might take a team that is a -7 favorite and adjust it to -1.

### 2. **Live (In-Game) Bets**

- Bets placed while the game or event is in progress. The odds and available bets can change in real-time based on the current state of the game.

- Example: Betting on who will score the next goal in a soccer match while the game is being played.

### 3. **Round Robin Bets**

- A series of parlays. Bettors select a group of teams and each combination of teams is bet on as a separate parlay.

- Example: If you choose three teams (A, B, and C), you'd have three separate two-team parlays: A/B, A/C, and B/C.

### 4. **Straight Bets**

- A single wager on a particular event or outcome. It’s the most straightforward type of bet.

- Example: Betting on Team A to either win (moneyline) or cover the spread (point spread).

### 5. **If Bets and Reverse Bets**

- **If Bets**: A conditional wager that allows you to place a second bet only if the first one wins.

- Example: You bet on Team A. If Team A wins, you then bet on Team B with the winnings.

- **Reverse Bets**: A more complex version of If Bets, where wagers are placed in both forward and reverse sequences.

- Example: You create two combinations: A followed by B, and B followed by A.

### 6. **Pleaser Bets**

- The opposite of teasers. In pleaser bets, the line is moved against the bettor's favor for potentially higher payouts. These are high-risk, high-reward bets.

- Example: Instead of moving the point spread in your favor by 6 points as in a teaser, you move it by 6 points against your favor for a larger potential payout if your bets win.

### 7. **Outright Bets**

- Similar to futures bets but often used in individual sports like golf or tennis. Bets are placed on the winner of an entire tournament or event.

- Example: Betting on a specific player to win the Wimbledon tournament.

### 8. **Exotic Bets**

- Various types of bets that don't fit into the standard categories. Often more complex and may involve multiple conditions.

- Example: Betting on exact score outcomes, specific game events combined into one bet (like who will score the first goal and the final score).

By understanding the different types of bets, sports gamblers can diversify their strategies and choose the most suitable bet types depending on their knowledge, confidence level, and risk tolerance. Each type of bet has its unique characteristics and potential rewards, so it’s essential to be familiar with these options to enhance your sports betting experience.
